Columbia Comic And Toy – SC -2013
There are many wonders to be found at this convention. Tables of toys from yesteryear filled the beginning of the room. In was incredible seeing them all in one place. Items ranged from LOST IN SPACE robots, SECRET DECODER RINGS and HE MAN – MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE PLAY SETS. My partner scored the FISTO and THE THING Action Figures.
After you made your way through the toys you are surrounded by comic books and more modern collectibles. My highlight purchase is 21 different Sci Fi “real” books (not comics) for $10. 18 of those books are STAR TREK related. I did not intend to get more than one book. The vender said he wanted $1 a book or $10 for all 21 books. Who could resist such a deal???
Price wise, a few of the venders were reasonable. Deals could be made by purchasing multiple items. Like every other convention, you find a few other venders having outlandish markups. A few of those venders packed up early.
