I Like Taking Pictures Of Random Things. Normally I Will Use A Digital Camera. Since I Tend To Fill Up Memory Cards.

One Morning I Decided To Take My Old Film Camera Instead. That Meant I Had To Be Sure About What I Was Taking A Picture Of.  I Only Had One Roll Of Film.

My Favorite Picture Was Taken In The Morning Near The Empty Mill.

Sharpie Drawing – Tanya Sun And Moon

It is time for another SHARPIE DRAWING! This time I wanted to draw Tanya / Titania from Mythical Magick. I wanted the whole “magical girl” feel in the Sharpie Drawing. 

The first thing I drew was her eyes. I then did a outline of her body. From there I decided I did not want to draw her too many facial details. i liked just seeing her eyes. It kind of reminded me of Sailor Moon….. Thinking of Sailor Moon I then drew a Sun, Moon and A Few Stars.

The Sun was fun to draw. I enjoyed creating all of the swirls. The then put a few checkerboard patterns and black circles in the background. After that it was random shape and line time. The final thing was playing with line weights.

Where do you prefer to draw?

Do you have a special place that you go to when you draw?

You never know who you are going to meet when you are drawing in public. I sometimes get interrupted by strangers when I draw in public. They usually ask about my drawing and like to look at my sketchbook. If I am lucky it is another artist that can show off their sketchbook. Because of this I limit myself to quick, sketches or inking when I draw outside of the studio.

My preference is that major works of art have to be completed at home or in the studio. Even though I like meeting new people….. I do not like to be distracted by other people when I am doing a major project.

Do you prefer to draw outdoors, your studio or do you draw wherever your model is?

Drawing – Winged Green Eyed Lady

This Drawing Is Created With Colored Pencils, Markers And Plain Old Ink Pens.

I Drew The General Shape Of The Girl. At The Time With Out Wings.

I Then Felt Really Bored…. I Had The “Yes You Drew Another Plain Girl Feeling”. I Wanted To Do Something Different Or Whimsical. So, I Drew Those Random Lines On The Left And Bottom Of The Page. I Then Decided To Draw The Wings….. I did Not Feel Bored Anymore.

From There It Was Color Time! I Colored The Random Lines Yellow, Green And Blue. I Wanted To Start A 3D Effect. I Then Colored The Background A Pink And Purple Mix To Keep The Random Lines From Blending In.  The Final Part Was Coloring The Girl and Her Wings.

Overall I Am Happy How This Turned Out.
