Where did all of the Video Game Arcades go
Where did all of the Video Game Arcades go? The majority of the Arcades that I know of have closed down. I do not know if they are ever going to come back.
I was wondering what could have made them disappear? The obvious answer is the economy. People just do not have the disposable cash that they had before. It is also usually cheaper to buy the game and play it at home. Then it is to pay to play the game multiple times at the Arcade.
The best thing about the Arcade was a place to spend time with your friends.
What could be done to get the Video Game Arcades back? Right know I am not sure how well they could make it on their own. I think that they need to piggy back on another venue. Such as, putting a small arcade in a Movie Theater Lobby. You could also install a small arcade in waiting areas.Think about having one in an airport. You could play games while you wait for your flight. A few years ago I noticed the Las Vegas Airport had slot machines. They could easily substitute those gambling machines with other games.
Do you think that Video Game Arcades will make a comeback? If so, what do you think they will do to survive?
What was your favorite game to play at the Arcade? I had two games that I loved to play. They were Gauntlet Of Legends and Marvel vs Capcom.
