The child of Christian missionaries, Carpenter assisted his family in constructing houses for the underprivileged in foreign lands. With his family under constant attack by the totalitarian regimes of the land, converted renegade rebels taught Craig their militaristic ways. Refusing to fight with guns due to his family’s beliefs, he learned advanced self defence techniques using non-lethal weapons. When he became older, he decided to move to Suburbia to witness how the typical American family lives.
